Delivers high resolution with high image uniformity

claims
the highest resolution Interline Transfer charge-coupled device (CCD) image
sensor on the market. The 50-megapixel (MP) KAI-50140
provides high-quality imaging detail and image uniformity required to inspect
smartphone displays as well as circuit boards and mechanical assemblies and aerial
surveillance applications.

The
KAI-50410 has the same 2.18 to 1 aspect ratio as most modern smartphones,
thereby reducing the number of image captures required to inspect a complete
display. It supports frame rates of up to 4 fps by implementing flexible 1-, 2-,
or 4-output readout architecture. 

The 4.5 µm
Interline Transfer CCD pixels deliver high resolution with a true electronic
(global) shutter while maintaining quality imaging performance.  The KAI-50410 has the same pin definitions as
ON Semiconductor’s KAI-29050 (29 MP), KAI-29052 (29 MP) and KAI-43140 image
sensors, so it can be integrated into existing camera designs with minimal
electrical adjustments, reducing the OEM’s time-to-market.

The
KAI-50140 is currently sampling with volume production planned by the end of
2018.  The device is available in a
ceramic PGA package in both monochrome and Bayer color configurations.
